Hero over in Muddy Oxon/Bucks visited Bloxham School back in February last year, and since then exam results have come in, kids have joined and moved on, facilities have improved and all that jazz. What? Where? Sibford School is a 3-18 co-ed day and boarding school set in more than 50 acres of grounds near Banbury, North Oxfordshire. Yeah, you read it right, 50 flippin acres! Originally established in 1842 for Quaker families, the school retains its Quaker ethos of seeking ‘that of God in everyone’ (ie finding the good in all children, though good luck with my lot) though you don’t have to be religious to come here.Read more
What, Where? Quinton House School is an independent day school for happy children aged 2 -18. I say happy, because it was play time when I arrived, and the level of laughter bouncing off the walls and woodland had me wishing myself back to school in a jiffy (and I very rarely do that). BEACHBOROUGH SCHOOL, WESTBURY, NR BRACKLEY
What? Where? Beachborough is a bucolic prep school at Westbury Manor, tickling the Northants, Bucks and Oxon borders, and perfectly positioned for those around Bicester, Buckingham, Banbury (or further if you don’t mind the drive). Co-educational with a 50/50 boy/girl split with 363 pupils this year (just about capacity), it’s set in 35 acres of frankly gorgeous grounds.Read more
