Cineworld Rushden Lakes

Bursting with the latest cinema tech, featuring fourteen state-of-the-art screens including IMAX, 4DX and the biggie, ScreenX, you're gonna want to give this a go!

Film lovers are in for a right treat with this one…say a big fat hello to the latest addition at Rushden Lakes, the brand spanking new Cineworld. We were there for the Gala opening night and got to try out the new Spiderman in 4DX (water, air, shaking chairs; you name it, it’s all there to make you feel like you’re actually in the film)!

We obviously found the hospitality drinks and toasted in the fact that Cineworld has officially opened their doors, and what perfect timing seeing as Toy Story 4, Spiderman: Far From Home and The Lion King are coming out just in time for the school holidays! Oh, and something a little bit special, this is the 100th cineworld cinema to open, right on our Northamptonshire doorstep.

The whole place is bursting with the latest cinema tech, featuring fourteen state-of-the-art screens including IMAX, 4DX and the biggie, ScreenX, which is the world’s first multi-projection 270-degree cinema technology; so Rushden really has been blessed. The IMAX theatre has the latest 4k laser experience which transports you into films like never before and makes viewing your films an experience like no other. Rushden Lakes is the thirteenth (unlucky for some, but not these guys) cinema to install the new Screen X technology which is basically the very best projectors and software which blends images into one and extends them from the central screen out, plus incredible speakers and audio systems that have been carefully placed to give you an incredible viewing experience. We can’t put into words how good they are, so more of a reason to check them out for your own eyes!

Rushden Lakes is getting massive now, so quick heads up on location, Cineworld’s in their latest extension, West Terrace, which just keeps getting bigger and better (it has caused a bit of a bun fight for parking; but this is being addressed)!

Lights, camera, action at the Gala opening

If you and your family love a good film as much as us, take advantage of their offers from discounted movies for junior screenings for only £2.50 on Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays and their Cineworld family ticket. Also, for only £17.50 per month grab hold of their Unlimited Card which can get you in on unlimited films plus 10% off cinema snacks and drinks, offers at local restaurants and shops and also advance screenings. Starbucks is also on board and a Baskin Robbins for you to deplete your cash fund when the kids undoubtedly harass you for an ice cream (tell me it’s not just me).

Georgina Jones, Cineworld Rushden Lakes’ General Manager was at the Gala evening and welcomed us before the film: We are delighted to officially open our doors to cinema fans in Rushden who we know have been eagerly waiting the arrival of Cineworld and we look forward to sharing our love of film with the local community.”

Spiderman was great and the 4DX was fun and added to the experience, rather than just being a gimmick. So next time you’re in Rushden Lakes doing a little retail therapy, paddling on the lake or whatever it is you decide to do, don’t forget to pop in a visit to this great new addition. It definitely is an incredible place with amazing technology and we can’t wait to try it out again (when the sun stops shining, obvs). Check out their film listings right here.

Website, can’t find list of upcoming films. Most infuriating.
If I can’t easily find upcoming films my diary will be full and I will miss the film unless I know up coming dates and book tickets.
Stop telling us what a brilliant experience visiting Rushden Lakes Cineworld is and make it easy to find list of current and up coming film and dates/
