Bringing London quality supper clubs to the Shire! These special evenings combine fine dining and organic cocktails from two local food & drink heroes
3 reasons to hit this supper club ASAP…
1: Bottoms up: The team at Jelley’s Organic Vodka bring some delicious cocktails to the night, and what’s quite special is that they all have organically-grown grains in (less hangover perhaps). Their vodka is made with love and attention and is distilled and filtered to get the best, fresh flavours of the traditional English countryside. Every course at the supper club, including hors d’oeuvres, is washed down with a bespoke cocktail. Every dish. Bearing in mind cocktails are around the £9 mark, we think you’ll agree that getting 4 is pretty generous for the meal price (more deets below)! I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, so I opted for a red wine with my main, but everyone else literally lapped them up. Jelley’s is a superb local vodka, so if that’s your tipple, it’s a really good way to support local! And as it’s the season of giving, if you know a vodka lover and want to get them a special bottle for Christmas (or 3), try Jelley’s gift sets, a lovely treat for a few tipples this Christmas.
2: Bon Appetit: If the drinks weren’t enough, the food is beau-ti-ful! The guys at Burnt Lemon Catering and Cuisine Culture are food experts so you know it’s going to be amazing. We tried the vegetarian and meat options and we’d go so far as to say the veggie one was our fave – but go and try it for yourself, it’s very close. The roast wild mushroom on toast with truffle was a slam-dunk, taste sensation; even with the meat eater! It was swiftly followed by the Braybrooke beer braised ox cheek which was top drawer, fine dining fodder! There’s a sample menu below (there are so many delicious ingredients it was too long-winded to write them down, but trust us, they were sublime)! All the team have a real passion for cooking up a storm and it really comes through in how the food looks and tastes.
Their photographer took nicer shots of the food, but the beef carpaccio from my iPhone came out pretty lovely. It tasted even better!
3: On your doorstep: Who says you have to travel to London or the big cities to find delicious food, drink and fun times? This event was at Cellar 44 in Market Harborough but the next one is on our doorstep in Northampton (see below), so you don’t have to worry too much about crossing county borders. Northamptonshire’s really starting to make a dent in the UK food scene, and we’re very happy to be part of it!
P.S. Cellar 44 is in Leicestershire, so not our remit, BUT, their mixologist for the evening was AMAZING if you ever get the chance to go!
Sold? Perfect. Grab your tickets to their next supper club evening at Cheyne Walk Club on Friday 6th December here for £55 which includes a set menu of dishes and drink pairings, plus a goodie bag from the sponsors.
There’s also a vegan menu on request, just ask and the friendly team will sort all that out, no bother! Oh and don’t forget their perfect Christmas present, this beaut hamper of Jelley’s vodka goodies for only £42.
The AWESOME menu that we had…
