Meghan Markle, the ultimate style steals

Fancy feeling like a Princess? Here's a few style tips that'll add a bit of Markle sparkle to your wardrobe and make you feel like a Duchess!

Do you want the style that is fit for a Princess? Well, look no further as Muddy’s fashion guru, Emily Gosford has picked together some of the best steals from Meghan Markle’s wardrobe to have you looking elegant and tre chic this summer…

Meghan Markle (she of Suits fame – the American TV show) has become a worldwide name thanks to her famous career as an actress, charitable work, being a UN Women’s advocate for women’s political participation, but probably mostly, by marrying out very own Prince Harry (The Duchess of Sussex has a certain ring to it non?)

We’ve compiled some of Meghan’s most recent looks, and found some similar more affordable options for you to add to your wardrobe (because we’re nice like that)!

Pop of Summer

Meghan Markle was a vision of summer in a bright yellow sheath dress during her most recent appearance with Prince Harry at the “Your Commonwealth” Youth Challenge Reception. Yellow is such a vibrant beautiful colour, which screams summer; perfect for the weather we are having at the moment (or that long-awaited holiday coming up). This style dress is super figure flattering on any shapes and sizes, allowing your body to be dressed elegantly and produce a stunning silhouette. Sounds dreamy to us, so we’ve found three similar options so you too can glow in yellow.

Dainty and delicate

The beautiful dainty white and blue chiffon style dress is perfect for a wedding guest – just like Ms Markle. The duchess stuck to a theme, pairing the frock with a white fascinator, cut out low off white heels and a corresponding box clutch bag. We found the original dress, which is exquisite, however the price tag is also… quiet exquisite. There are some more affordable options on the high street, which will give you the breezy summer wedding look that the Oscar De La Renta number is giving Meghan – ooo fancy.

Vision in red

What’s not to love about a red dress? Romantic, seductive and super stylish. Meghan wore this look to a US tv show appearance and we love it. The key thing about wearing such a dramatic red dress is to not bombard the rest of your look with accessorises, bright shoes and a bright bag – the dress should do the talking. So when you go bold and wear such a dress, then pick your accessorises wisely, and like Meghan pairing a nude shoe allows the attention to still be focused on the dress. We’ve tried to find similar dresses on the high street that match Meghan’s, one being from our very own Berties in Northampton, make sure to check it out.

Pretty in pink

The duchess sat pretty in pink as she was part of the Trooping of Colours parade last month, but the dress came under some scrutiny. The gorgeous bardot pink dress ‘apparently’ broke royal protocol as it flashed a bit of shoulder, according to fashion expert Mark Heyes. In an interview with Lorraine he said that “it is very unusual to see a member of the Royal house hold baring her shoulders, especially at a daytime event like that”, he also added “it is not that it’s not allowed, but maybe it’s a sign of things to come”. Well, she’s under no scrutiny from us because we loved it! So much so we’ve found similar ones on the high street, fit for our own Muddy Duchesses. There are plenty of different styles to this pink inspired bardot dress, long and short to flatter different body shapes. If you have a summer garden party coming up, then be sure to check out the Topshop linen buttoned up bardot.

All of these dresses should be available online now.
