High Five Northants – Places to Tie the Knot

Paul Wilkinson Photography

Here we are, the next in our High Five Northants series, and this time it’s wedding venues!  Quite frankly, our county is full of beautiful venues that offer a whole variety of options for the nuptials; but here’s five to start, and we’ll go a bit more quirky on the next lot…

Rushton Hall

Rushton HallPossibly one of the most picturesque hotels in Northamptonshire (we’ve been there), Rushton Hall offers you the fairytale wedding you’ve always dreamed of! With beautiful grounds overlooked by the magnificent building, you’ll have the most gorgeous wedding photos to make Will and Kate jealous! Providing you with the venue AND accommodation, you’ll also save all the hassle of traveling on your wedding day. It’s definitely worth a look, even if you’re not getting married anytime soon, it’s still a beautiful place to visit!

Dodford Manor Dodford Manor

Dodford’s won Best Regional Wedding Events Team in the National Wedding Industry Awards, so it’s pretty clear to see why this would be the perfect place to hold your country style ceremony. Positioned in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, surrounded by a striking landscape, your wedding would take place in one of the two magnificent barns whilst you enjoy food from their superb kitchen! Truly a beautiful wedding venue for those of us who are more country at heart!

Whittlebury Park

WhittleburyWhittlebury Park offers you and your spouse (such a sexy word) the choice of three venues in which you can celebrate your special day. With the classic, elegant setting of the Orangery, the spacious country building of the Atrium and the beautiful marquee, named the Pavilion, you’ve really got your choice of setting! Whittlebury can cater for up to 400 people so if you’ve got a particularly large wedding party in mind this may be the place for you! Accommodation is also available on sight for you to spend your wedding night in style (last time Muddy ed Anna-Lou was there, it was for a Queen tribute band. She’s still talking about it now)!

Kimbolton Castle

For regal luxury in the most amazing setting Kimbolton Castle really does take your breath away with its beautiful grounds and historical stone! What can only be described as one of the most picturesque buildings in the county (albeit on the outskirts) Kimbolton Castle seems like the place to hold the most sophisticated of weddings (any of you sophis lot out there fancying a bit of this?). The castle is placed in the centre of 120 acres of land including lakes and woodland, all of which go towards the most gorgeous wedding photos around!

Stanwick Hotel

Winner of Muddy Stilettos Best Hotel 2016, Stanwick Hotel is centered in two acres of spectacular gardens in the Northamptonshire countryside. They have three rooms that you can chose to have your ceremony in, varying in size from intimate weddings with 16 of your closest friends and family, to larger gatherings of up to 130 people (of your closest friends and family ; ) You can treat yourselves to canapés on the lawn or a traditional hog roast, so really, something for every wedding style! They’ll even give the newlyweds breakfast in the morning after spending their wedding night in their gorgeous accommodation (no jokes about building up an appetite)!

So there you go, glamorous and sophisticated, just like what we are! And remember, let us know if you have any cool venues in and around Northants, or feel free to tell us what you got up to for your big day! Information is power, mes braves. Let’s share the wealth. x
