14 firework displays in Northants 2019

Fizz pop fireworks. Lots and lots of organised firework displays across Northamptonshire – and here’s just a selection

Remember, remember the most important date in November! Get ready for an explosion of the most spectacular and hottest bonfire nights and firework displays in and around Northants. So, grab your gloves, hats and sparklers and get ready for a banging night. Oh and if you know of any that are worth mentioning, let us know!

Blackpit Brewery, Friday 1st November.

This brewery does more than serve amazing beers, it’s hosting a spectacular bonfire night to remember. There’ll be yummy food and drink and activities for the kids to keep them entertained. Last year saw the guys build a huge hawk that was set alight before an unforgettable show. They say this year is going to be better than ever with a torch parade through the village before a 10 minute firework display that is set off by some of the same people who fire the London NYE fireworks!  Afterwards, they’re carrying on the celebrations with a Halloween Ball in the Stag’s Dive Bar.

Flore Fireworks, Friday 1st November. 

Every year this event gets bigger and better so expect a night to remember. Flore Scouts Group run by volunteers create the safe, family friendly environment everyone loves and returns for. There will be a huge bonfire and bigger fireworks to enjoy, plus kids rides, food and drink and sweet treats to enjoy. The night kicks off with a candlelight procession before the bonfire and fireworks.

Rushton Hall, Saturday 2nd November.

Treat yourself to a luxury firework experience at the stunning Rushton Hall. Stay over in a choice of rooms to suit all budgets with a glass of champagne on arrival. Enjoy a beautifully prepared three course meal in the Orangery and afterwards watch the spectacular fireworks light up the sky overlooking the lake. With a glass of mulled wine in hand this is going to be a real picturesque and magical night. In the morning enjoy a Full English or Continental breakfast. If you don’t fancy staying over you can still enjoy the three-course dinner, all details online. Who knew bonfire night could be so luxurious?

Wicksteed Park, Saturday 2nd November.

A local fave with a magical and spectacular display is Wicksteed Park, and they are back, bigger and better than ever with their 18th annual bonfire extravaganza. The fun kicks off at 5pm with the Minotaur Wickerman being lit at 7:15pm. The firework show will commence at around 8pm and will be the biggest display in Kettering so grab your tickets for only £4 (£5 on the gate). Parking is free and if you have a little baby in your arms, they go free.

Billing Aquadrome, Saturday 2nd November.

What a line up Billing have! Expect more than just a show of amazing fireworks, here you have a night of a funhouse, kids bingo, adults bingo, gameshow, entertainment and a late-night disco to dance the night away.  There’s also live music and a bunch of stalls to have a potter around, keeping everyone entertained all night.

Santa Pod Raceway, Saturday 2nd November.

With more than one display on the evening, Santa Pod Raceway are hosting an afternoon and evening of live action from Podzilla the Monster Truck, stunt displays, drifting and of course a bonfire and firework display not to be missed. Expect a funfair, great catering of food and drink and top-class family entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

The Parker E-Act Academy, Saturday 2nd November.

Prepare for a spectacular show suitable for all ages at the annual firework display in Daventry. Returning this year will of course be stunning fireworks and the best soundtrack plus a chance to enjoy a toffee apple, marshmallows and some hot food to warm up the cockles. A free event that starts at around 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Duston Mill, Saturday 2nd November.

For only £5 (under 4’s go free) you get access to one the hottest bonfire nights hosted by NB’s outdoor events (local events company). With a firework display launched by British firework champions of 2016, there will be a roaring bonfire, 2 firework displays, a fairground full of attractions, live music plus entertainment and food including hog roast and a beer tent. You can buy your tickets online or at the gate.

Woodford Halse Sports and Community Club, Saturday 2nd November.

The Woodford Halse and Sports Community Club are back and once again teaming up with Woodford Halse Academy FSA to light up the sky with a great annual event on the sports field. Gates open at 5 and the fireworks start at around 6pm which is before the lighting of the fire. On the night there’ll be a family disco in the clubhouse, a bar to grab a few tipples and an outside marquee with bar. You can also grab hot dogs, burgers and hot drinks to keep you toasty.

Yardley Hastings, Saturday 2nd November.

Held in the quaint village of Yardley Hastings there’ll be a Judging of the Guy competition, so be sure to bring yours down for a chance to win! There’ll be the lighting of the bonfire to keep you warm and a firework display to follow. There’ll be refreshments and a bar and under school age kids go free. Adults £3 and children only £1.

Northampton Racecourse, Sunday 3rd November.

One of Northampton’s most popular firework display’s is back at The Racecourse. Expect a great firework display plus family entertainment including rides and food stalls that open at 2pm. PureGenius takes to the stage at 4pm, followed by an LED glow and fire show that sparks up at 4:45pm and then the fireworks blast off at 5:30pm. The event is free and you can bring your own sparklers along with you.

Wooton Community Centre, Sunday 3rd November.

Everyone’s favourite street food event, StrEAT Food is back but this month with a twist, their very own fireworks show, a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. You can be sure to see the best street food producers cooking up a treat plus a DJ who will host the evening. There’ll be a local band, Slim 47 playing on stage and The Circus School will be performing a flaming hot surprise. If you fancy having your face glow in the dark you can get that from Nicky’s Fancy Faces who will be there as well as a funfair. Best of all, it’s a totally free event hosted by Wootton Parish Council.

West Lodge Farm Park, Sunday 3rd and Tuesday 5th November.

If the kids don’t like how loud the fireworks are, no bother, West Lodge have thought of that and are hosting a non-firework event. Still with a corker of a bonfire plus a whole lot more as well. Included in your ticket you get so much, including free sparklers and entry into the adventure barn. The kids can help to make a guy to throw onto the fire. You’ll all love this little bit quieter one.

Fireworks Night at the Terrace, Tuesday 5th November, Rushden Lakes.

Watch some of the best fireworks at Rushden Lakes with some delicious food and drink with the best view in town. As you take a seat on the outdoor roof area, get cosy under a blanket and watch the sky come alive, perfect for a little date night.
