185 Watling St. Pub & Kitchen, Towcester
Muddy says: A trendy local spot in the centre of Towcester to dine out, drink cocktails and enjoy a scenic garden on a sunny day in the beautiful, well-kept garden.
This destination eaterie in the town centre of Towcester has a lot to offer from the very reasonably priced set menu (with 2 courses for £12.75 and 3 for £15.75), to afternoon tea for those who prefer something a little special in the afternoon. They have recently added a steak night to the calendar for ‘meat lovers’ every Wednesday, teamed with a glass (or three) of red wine to wash it down.
If you don’t fancy a proper sit down meal there’s a selection of nibbles and starters for you to pick at whilst drinking cocktails (or mocktails if you’re driving) and there is a beautiful, well-kept garden with a cool outdoor gin bar. It has a great location on Towcester High Street; a varied menu that celebrates proper British produce and a beautiful trendy interior to show off your glad rags. I’ve been twice, loved the varied crowds and vibe both times.
