Katie Cardew Illustrations
Muddy says: Katie’s wonderfully wonky fine art illustrations give any everyday item a quirky twist. It’s a proper local business with the beautiful British Countryside right at the heart.
Katie Cardew Illustrations specialises in wonderfully wonky fine art illustrations, created in Katie’s village studio in Northants (it’s a lovely little place, we’ve been to see her creations). Katie’s range of products include beautiful Fine Art gicleé prints, available framed and unframed, as well as high quality tea towels, aprons, Aga tops, oven gloves, kitchen boards, mugs, coasters & placemats, and a selection of premium cosmetic bags and greetings cards. Her work really adds a cute, quirky element to everyday items and is a modern take on old school, kitchen chintz.
Katie’s designs are drawn from her love of the Great British countryside, as well as her travels around the globe – expect everything from majestic stags to peaceful hares, graceful peacocks and cheeky game birds (we really couldn’t leave empty handed)!
All products are produced in the UK, Katie is keen to support local companies wherever possible during manufacture, and many of the products come from just a few miles down the road. The tableware range is produced in Rutland on sustainably sourced European eucalyptus, and greetings cards & packaging are printed near Oundle; all prints are produced, framed and cut in house at Katie’s Kings Cliffe studio – now that’s a proper local business!
