It’s exciting, it’s new, it’s dog and ecofriendly! If you’re looking for a new and vibrant place to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat, come check out Pohutukawa Coffee. It’s Kiwi doncha know!
Say hello to Long Buckby’s latest addition, Pohutukawa Coffee; a New Zealand themed, eco friendly coffee shop that’s already got customers saying amazing things. This a family ran business and is named after one of the owner’s (Sally) favourite New Zealand trees. It offers a simple but exciting menu in a relaxed, cosy environment and we’ve all hear how great NZ Java is!
This delicious coffee comes from a New Zealand roaster in London called Ozone, and they have a decaf option available as well as eco-friendly paper cups with biodegradable lids (for takeaway). Another added bonus is that it is dog friendly so you can bring your four-legged friends in too. When you visit, expect a warm and friendly welcome from the family team including owner Matt, step daughter-in-law Holly, who manages the café, and her husband who is the weekend chef (we love a family run biz). Sally, Matt’s wife, creates some exciting New Zealand recipe bakes and the menu has other options such as paninis, salads and the obligatory crushed avocado.
Even though they have only been open a short while, they’re already seeing regular customers return, writing amazing reviews and giving great feedback. So the family and team invite all of you Muddy readers in to give that New Zealand hospitality a go – we’re getting soooo cosmopolitan in the Shire these days!
