Ruby & Claret

Muddy says: wine heaven right in the heart of Earls Barton with pop-up events, tastings and a huge sense of community on offer!

Located in the quaint and bustling village of Earls Barton, Ruby & Claret is more than just a wine shop, it is a haven of lovingly curated wines suitable for all budgets and occasions. Discover, experience and fall in love with super tasty wines perfect for regular vino drinkers or those who want to try something a little unique and special.

You can enjoy your bottle of wine in store at Ruby & Claret’s bespoke up-cycled tables or attend their regular pop up events and tastings with the knowledge that you’ll be introduced to something you haven’t tried before. The Muddy Stilettos have trodden along for a pop up tapas evening and it’s a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where you can indulge in the wines and experience lots of new flavours (we possibly indulged a little too much, ahem).

Clare is the wine guru behind Ruby & Claret. She started her wine career as the Wine & Spirits Buyer for Cockburn & Campbell, at that time owned by the Bedford based Charles Wells Brewery. She then moved to be Head Buyer of an online wine subscription start up called Sipp Wine so she knows her stuff. Her experience and knowledge means she’s on hand to offer honest and tailored advice so you can be guided through the selection of wines and leave with the bottle that best suits you and your taste buds. All the information of events, opening times and happenings can be found on their social so give them a like to stay up to date with all things wine. Ruby & Claret isn’t just for buying wine though, it’s a real social hub for a community of wine lovers and like-minded people. Claire wants to show people that wine isn’t stuffy and formal – more that it’s fascinating and diverse – but above all, it’s great fun. A bit like Claire herself really!
