Silverstone Distillery
Silverstone's first ever alcoholic drinks distillery has developed a thrillingly indulgent range of spirits that celebrate the village's history and motor racing heritage.
It’s not easy being a pub landlord in the midst of a global pandemic but Steve Hancock of The White Horse in Silverstone has somehow managed to pull it out of the bag to create a tantalising new range of spirits, distilled right here in Silverstone village, and a distillery that celebrates the area’s cultural and motor racing heritage and which will soon be offering distillery tours, a Gin School and Cocktail Masterclasses.
There’s been a real buzz around the launch of Silverstone Distillery, and it’s not hard to see why with its blend of local roots and global renown alongside some rather gorgeous branding. The first bottles to drop are from the Heritage Range, which celebrates Silverstone’s military and industrial past, and which includes an Oak Rested Gin, which is distilled using wood from a 5000 year old Northamptonshire oak, a Smoked Wild Apple Vodka and a Military Spirit Gin that nods to the WWII RAF base on which Silverstone Circuit now stands. £5 from every 70cl bottle of Military Spirit will be donated to armed forces charity SSAFA, so you are literally doing good by drinking gin. Now you’re talking.
