If it’s time to unwind you’re after, then Whittlebury Park ticks all the boxes. This spacious and luxurious hotel makes for a tranquil escape, with a spa that boasts a pretty impressive choice of facilities and treatments for the full mind and body reboot. Take your pick from their Elemis, ESPA, Payot and Jessica ranges, offering facials, body treatments, manicures and pedicures, and heat and ice experiences, as well as saunas, hydrotherapy, and a hair studio (yours truly had her wedding locks done here, so it must be good). There’s also a fully equipped gym and a 19m swimming pool here and you can get active with loads of fitness classes including group cycling, Zumba and pilates, and with Spa Day and Spa Stay packages for the ultimate indulgent retreat, you can escape for just an hour or really unwind with a long weekend of bliss.

No pampering session is complete, of course, without fuelling your body with incredible food and Whittlebury Park has three options for dining during your visit. The Atrium Bistro in the Clubhouse is part of the hotel’s golfing facilities, which serves everything from sandwiches to Sunday roasts; Astons is an informal restaurant serving contemporary classics such as cod fillet with lemon and parsley crust and charred new potatoes or wild mushroom and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese; and Murray’s is Whittlebury’s fine dining restaurant, where you can expect a sensational menu offering seasonal produce from black-faced Thame spring lamb to Devonshire squid. You can also tuck in to a rather fancy afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, warm scones and pretty pastries, with plant-based options available. Oh, and there’s the Silverstone Bar for pre-dinner drinks or the essential post-massage G&T. What? That’s a thing, right?

Whittlebury Park is tucked away on the borders of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, and sits right next door to Silverstone Circuit, which is host to the Formula 1 Grand Prix each year, among many other high profile motorsports events, so it’s a fabulous location for petrol heads or for businesses conferences and hospitality, and there are 5000 camping plots here, including pre-pitched tents and glamping, which are always buzzing when the big events are taking place. There are also 36 holes of Championship Golf Course here including the 1905 course, which is a reconstruction of a course that was on the site over a century ago.

If you’re on the hunt for a potential wedding venue, the focus at Whittlebury is on attention to detail and the team here really work with you in order to make your dream day into a reality from start to finish. You could not be in a better place to ensure the wedding party are pampered and primped to feel absolutely fabulous on the big day.
