Daahling, it’s the Muddy Awards Winners’ Drinks. Cin cin!
Bringing you all the gorgeous smiles, fun and festivities from the day we celebrated our fantabulous 2021 Muddy Awards Winners.
We asked. You voted. And voted. And voted. The competition was supremely fierce, but after the nail biting, the agony, the ecstasy…. it was time to raise a glass (or several) and kick back with Northamptonshire’s favourite and finest independent businesses.
It’s the Muddy party of the year and we love to let our winners know how special they are, so planning the event can be quite a mission! But, when the day finally arrives, everyone’s buzzing and it’s wall to wall smiles.
We went big this year with our venue. It doesn’t get much bigger than the magnificent Boughton House, near Kettering. It’s an absolute whopper and, as the sun promised to shine on the day, we took the party to the beautiful Colonnade overlooking the landscaped grounds, where there was plenty of space to mingle and chat to all of the incredible, creative and (after what we’ve all been through lately) resilient local businesses owners.
We had an amazing turn out at this year’s drinks and we were very lucky to have the gorgeous Jay and Mark from Muddled Lime behind the bar, channelling Tom Cruise and serving the most astonishingly good cocktails and mocktails using Xachoh alcohol-free spirits and gin from Silverstone Distillery. There was also some pretty fancy garnish from Bloomin’ Marvellous Berries and mouth-watering cupcakes from The Copper Kitchen, plus we had the wonderfully talented Kate Ransome of Studio Ransome on hand to take all the amazing photos of the day.
Canapés, sweet treats and plenty of booze (or faux booze) were enjoyed by all, and I’d just like to point out that if you see any photos of me looking like I’m swigging a can of special brew, it’s actually a very fancy cocktail in there… Yes, I did manage one or two.
The sun very kindly shone for us all afternoon and our guests spilled out from under the Colonnade onto the lawns. It was an absolute joy to be there celebrating with so many inspiring people.
But, as you know, the Muddy Awards are nothing without you, our discerning and, frankly, fabulous readers, so a massive thanks to all of you for voting in your thousands in support of your favourite Northants businesses. You’re just as in love with local as we are and we love you for it. See you next year for the 6th Muddy Northants Awards and until then, a huge congratulations to all our winners. Cheers!
