Clink clink! It’s the Muddy Awards drinks!
Check out all of the pictures, the fun and the smiles! Well done to everyone...2019 rocked!
You did it, they did it, we all did it! We all voted for our favourite local businesses in Northants and after a fierce competition, it was time to celebrate. Cue the cocktails!
Planning and hosting the Winners Drinks can be a bit daunting at times, especially since it is the Muddy party of the year. But once the day has arrived, the frock is on and the winners start to arrive, the nerves fly out the window and the genuine excitement takes over.
We mixed it up this year and embraced the festival vibes by hosting the drinks at the very hip giant tipis at Elms Meadow, we love making the most of the gorgeous Northants countryside after all. And with the music playing, drinks pouring and people chatting, it really was a little festival of our own. Getting to meet interesting people and finding lovely local businesses is right at the heart of Muddy and we really do love it.
There was a fantastic turnout at this year’s drinks and just as well – as we took the celebrations one step further this year – celebratory shenanigans were brought by Burnt Lemon Catering, Explore Chocolate, Three Hills Brewing, The Vanilla Bean Cake Company, Stonyfield Wine, The Rum Bah Bar, Postbox Party, and we even had childcare sorted thanks to KidsStop. The super talented Marie from Fritz Photography took all the wonderful photos you’re looking at and Kate from Versatile Event Management joined the Muddy team for the occasion and helped pull all the planning and organising together.
The canapés, sweet treats and the booze all went down beautifully! Safe to say they were enjoyed, as there wasn’t a nibble in sight by the end (I managed ONE canape). The rum cocktails shook up a storm (I managed more of those), and what’s a party without a sparkling wine, who knew Northants fizz could taste so good?
After spending the week checking the weather (constantly changing from rain to sun), it turned out to be a lush day and the sun shone for the entire event; I even had to nick my Ed Assistant’s sunnies. Frankly, the whole thing was a blast from beginning to end.
But without you lovely readers there would be no party and no awards, so it’s a big heartfelt THANK YOU from me and the Muddy team for taking your time to vote and give your local favourites a pat on the back, you’ve really shown how in love with local you are. It’s all over for another year, but we’ll see you in 2020 for the fifth year of the Awards. Until then, huge congrats to the Muddy Awards Winners 2019 (more pics below too)…
