Suzy Cubitt’s’s Christmas wreath workshops use locally grown materials with no plastic, floral foam or any other unnecessary bits, letting nature do the talking. There will be festive music, a glowing log burner, bubbly and nibbles. Oh and the beautiful Gathered Home vintage barn will be open for a Christmas shopping browse. Elliott’s Rectory Farm, Nr. Overstone, 3, 4 & 8 Dec, various time, £35 per person
Elliott’s have teamed up with the v talented Ann from Bloom In Scents, Great Billing, who also creates Christmas wreaths for Boughton House, so we’re talking quality goods here. She’ll demonstrate how to make wreaths and table decorations and give you plenty of tips and advice as you take the plunge and there’ll be a selection of foliage and materials for you to get creative with.
Flore House, Sat 4 Dec, 10am-12pm, £65 per person
The gorgeous Flore House has got to be one of the loveliest venues for getting festive. Grand and imposing yet cosy and eclectic, who wouldn’t want to spend a couple of hours here learning how to create a really gorgeous wreath courtesy of Chelsea Flower Show finalist and pro florist Georgie Dunn? Natural foliage, feathers and berries for the workshop are mostly sourced in the beautiful grounds. Price includes all equipment and materials, tea, coffee or fizz and homemade cake and mince pies. The Roade House have teamed up with Peony & Willow florist for this festive afternoon workshop will and provide all the gear for you to make your own wreath gorgeous wreath while you listen to Christmas music. The bar will be open so make sure you’re not the designated driver.
