Wouldn’t you though?
32 The Guild has been on the Muddy hitlist for a while. Home to some top-notch, fashion curation, this tres stylish women’s boutique has an array of designer footwear, denim, clothing and accessories from around the world. In the heart of Northampton’s Cultural Quarter (which I can’t stop banging on about, because it’s so cool), 32 The Guild is THE destination for stylish women in the know. I’ll be making a visit pretty soon, but I got a wee bit excited when I found out they stocked these supercool luxe trainers by Rose Rankin!
Muddy Cornwall Editor Sophie told me about them as she recently moved from London’s fashion scene to blogging in rural Cornwall and realised she needed a serious wardrobe rethink! She decided to ditch her favourite heels for these Rose Rankin trainers, and if you live in skinny jeans and flatties during the day they’re going to look amazing.
Irish-born Rose, a trainer-obsessed tomboy from an early age, worked in fashion and film and trained at London’s Central Saint Martins, before launching her namesake footwear line. Rose’s sophisticated yet playful sneakers combine sleek styling and retro references. They bring a glamorous touch to jeans, lend a hip edge to smarter looks and frankly, anyone who makes glitter and leopard print school-run appropriate, is ok by me.
This season, Rose’s Coney low-tops are back in soft gold with glitter and off-white lacing or in bold, black and white check with metallic trims. While the achingly cool, new Simmy is a pair you can really prowl around in. These statement leopard print mid-tops, with gold detailing will steal the show from work to weekend.
Pop in and see Zoie at 32 The Guild in Northampton’s Cultural Quarter (there’s shed loads of eateries and other cool places). But be warned, I guarantee you’ll leave with more than you bargained for; but you won’t regret it!
