Wouldn’t you though?
What do you get the mother who has it all for Mother’s Day? Or rather, the one who says she doesn’t need anything? I’m faced with this conundrum every year. Luckily for me, muddy Leicestershire has stumbled on Tipperlyhill, a colourful collection of animal illustrations and abstract artwork.
Abi and Roz are the quirky brains behind Tipperlyhill. The unique name is a combination of their maiden names Abi Tippetts and Roz Berkeley-Hill, and for the next few weeks are personalising their lovely artwork for Mothering Sunday.
Abi, based in Leicester has a gift for illustration and loves drawing animals while Roz over in London, ‘fits’ the characters with their colourful shirts through her love of pattern and design. The duo meet every few weeks to work together and the end result is a unique collection of illustrations.
They’ve only been going at it for about a year but the reaction has been great and, it’s not hard to see why. Anyone can get an existing piece of artwork personalised by simply emailing Abi who’ll then crack on with the masterpiece before sending it out to you.
When they’re together they also create larger abstract landscape and oil paintings during what they call, a “freestyle art jam sessions” often accompanied with a bottle of Prosecco. We like the sound of that!
The price for a small (8″ x 10″) illustration is £15 and the personalised pieces are £18. The larger illustrations (12″ x 16″) cost £25 and a personalised piece is £30 plus postage. Last orders for personalisation is 20th March. If you fancy one for your mama, simply email your words or phrase to the design studio on firstname.lastname@example.org
