MUSIC: BLAKE performance, Lighthouse Theatre Kettering, Mon 19th Nov 7:30pm
Brit-Award-winning vocal trio Blake return in 2018 with a special UK tour, celebrating 10 years together. The show features songs from their brand-new 10th anniversary album including Elgar’s ‘Nimrod’, the Beatles’ ‘Here There and Everywhere’, ‘Somewhere’ from West Side Story & the classic ‘Caruso’. Tickets can be bought online for £23.
ARTS/ CRAFTS: Heart of the stitch embroidery workshop, Wed 21st Nov, 7 – 9pm, The Abbey Centre, Daventry
Sue Fowler will lead this workshop on the colourful technique of stumpwork, a raised 3 dimensional form of embroidery, popular during tudor times, which is now becoming rather trendy for stitchers who want to add another dimension to their work.
This is still suitable for beginners however so there is no excuse, so dig out that sewing kit pronto. Admission to the class costs £5 for visitors. Don’t leave yourself feeling stumped this week- pardon the pun.

With free entry, this pop up shop is defo worth a visit for unique and quirky gifts. Made by two of the resident artists at the Rooftop Arts Centre, these handcrafted gifts are great if you’re looking for something a little more special this Christmas. It’s only a pop up though shop till you drop as it won’t be there for long!

Comedy sketch troupe LIMBO present their brand-new show Kick The Bucket, full of twisted sketches and surreal songs, shining their anarchic light of comedy on the darkest of modern taboos. Starring Northamptonshire locals and written by Joe Johnson, finalist of the BBC Writersroom Laugh Track competition, Kick The Bucket is the sensational follow-up to LIMBO’s Edinburgh Fringe show Fisting For Biscuits. Prepare for plenty of LOL moments for only £6 a ticket.
CULTURE: Sneak peek tours of Lyveden Manor, Oundle, Northamptonshire, Fri 23rd Nov
Take an exclusive tour around this gorgeous manor, which is currently not even open to the public. Rediscover the story of Sir Thomas Tresham this winter as this event promises to offer a unique insight as they test our exciting story-telling techniques, to shape the future of the manor. Tours are available at a variety of different times, to book simply follow the link. The event itself is free, however normal adult admission at £6.80 applies.

Britain’s Got Talent and Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer act comedian Daliso Chaponda has announced his debut stand up tour for 2018 entitled ‘What The African Said…’. The Malawian born stand up was a stand out star from this year’s show, capturing the nations hearts and garnering over 8 million Facebook views and 9 million on Youtube. Tickets can be bought online for just £15. You’ll be hitting the golden buzzer in no time for this hilarious night of comedy.

As xmas is just around the corner (as signalled by the cringeful, yet blissful playing of Mariah Carey and Wham), visit over 60 handmade stalls to pick up those cute vintage gifts you won’t find in high street stores. Oh and I almost forgot to mention you can keep the Mudlets entertained as there is a reindeer, and an even bigger bonus is that under 16s go free! Adult entry is only £4 on the day, so you can shop away and have a browse around the marquees and if you get a little peckish visit the Walled Garden Tea Room which is nestled within the picturesque gardens.
