THEATRE: RSC Live Romeo and Juliet, Castle Theatre, Wellingborough, Wed 18 Jul

Broadcasted live from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Romeo and Juliet is Shakespeare’s most loved romance. Set in a world very like our own, this Romeo and Juliet is about a generation of young people born into violence and ripped apart by the bitter divisions of their parents. The most famous story of love at first sight explodes with intense passion and an irresistible desire for change, but leads all too quickly to heartbreaking consequences. Tickets cost £15.50-£13.50.

ART: Arts, Crafts & Collectables, Daventry Museum, now – Fri 24 Aug

Daventry Museum are looking for local artists, crafters and collectors to exhibit their work and showcase collections to celebrate Daventry Arts Festival. It is free entry so you can browse around the work of the best of Northants. Opening times are Tues – Fri 9:30am – 1:30pm and the first Sat of the month 10am – 4pm.

MUSIC: The UK Pink Floyd Experience, Royal & Derngate, Northampton, Thurs 19 Jul

Arthur Miller’s masterpiece about the Salem witch trials portrays a frenzied society, destroying itself. Directed by Fay Lomas, and performed by Royal & Derngate’s Actors Company (Great Expectations, Market Boy), The Crucible is a taut, tense tale of fear and vengeance.
