Things to do this weekend

Fri 12 - Sun 14 October

FILM: Northampton Filmhouse, throughout Oct

Brilliant new independent films this season include the thought provoking drama The Wife, Anton Chekhov adaptation The Seagull and introspective drama Lucky. The cinema continues to present the best big new releases, including heist drama King of Thieves, as well as Damien Chazelle’s Neil Armstrong biopic First Man. The classics offering includes a selection of films celebrating Black History Month in the UK this October. The programme of event cinema features screenings of top class drama, ballet and opera. They’ve also announced a new series of screenings aimed at welcoming even more 16-25 year-olds into the cinema, thanks to support from the BFI Film Audience Network – one for the not so little Mudlets!

KIDS: Super Camps, throughout Oct
Super Camps is a leading provider of Ofsted registered holiday day camps, with over 30 locations across the UK running camps in October. Aimed at children aged 4-12, Super Camps are running Multi-Activity camps, giving parents childcare options that not only fit with their busy lives but are also guaranteed to keep their children entertained. Super Camps’ Multi-Activity camps offer a wide range of activities, from messy play and story book detectives for the early years to arts and crafts, go-karting, dodgeball, LEGO® building and team-based activities for the older children. There is also a different theme each week, which means there is always something new to look forward to. The theme of the week for Oct Half Term has been confirmed as Heroes vs Monsters.
