NC Jazz presents The Simon Spillett Quartet, Royal & Derngate, Fri 8 June

This unmissable evening of modern jazz takes place in the intimate setting of Royal & Derngate’s Underground Studio, with a relaxed atmosphere and cabaret-style seating. Described by the late Humphrey Lyttelton as “formidable”, Simon Spillett is an award-winning British jazz saxophonist who leads his own quartet featuring Alec Dankworth playing bass, Brian Dee on piano and Clark Tracey on drums. Tickets are priced at £13.50.

Theatre goers will be thrust into the heart of the action of a new production from students at the University of Northampton. Club Wonderland sees the audience become clients of a cabaret club popular with curious characters. Part immersive theatre, part promenade performance and part cabaret, this unique theatrical experience is inspired by the life of Lewis Carroll, his unusual relationships and his famous tales, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass.
