It features ten local people who have an extraordinary story to tell; an incredible experience, an uncelebrated achievement or a surprising fact about their life.

The Original Theatre Company takes on Oscar Wilde’s classic play with a wonderfully witty, deliciously decadent and classic revival

Jack wishes to marry Algernon’s cousin the beautiful Gwendolen but first he must convince her mother, the fearsome Lady Bracknell, of the respectability of his parents and his past. For Jack, however, this is not as easy as it sounds, having started life abandoned in a handbag at Victoria station. Prepare to take a welcome turn with Wilde’s much-loved Algernon, Jack, Gwendolen and Cecily, as town and country clash in a brilliant and wildly funny story of romance, identity, perambulators and capacious handbags.

Cinema Under The Stars, Brixworth Country Park, Northampton, Sat 12 May

Enjoy the classic family film Toy Story in the beautiful surroundings of the park. Held at Brixworth Country Park on Saturday 12th May, the event will also include a food and drink village, face painters, a raffle with an array of wonderful prizes and entertainment for all the family. The event is put on by 4 BA Event Management students form the University of Northampton to raise money for the Northampton Hope Centre.

Althorp Food and Drink Festival, Althorp Estate, Sat 12 – Sun 13 May

The festival is a family friendly, culinary delight taking place at the stunning Althorp Estate. It showcases the best food and drink producers and suppliers that Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties have to offer, with globally recognised chefs and speakers to entertain and educate the audience. The Festival has gained significant prestige over the past four years, recently winning Best Event at a Historic House at the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum Awards.
