The autumnal zenith has clearly been met at the carnivalesque intersection of pumpkins and cider. Bring your wellies and head to Saxby’s Cider to p-p-pick a pumpkin and then warm up with a mulled cider while you carve it up back at home.

Lacie Cox, whose studio is at the Old Dairy Farm Crafty Centre in Upper Stowe, is amazingly skilled at capturing those elusive, cheese-free, family shots. Book in advance for an Autumn session in the picturesque grounds of Delapré Abbey and enjoy the day exploring the house and gardens.

WEDDING EVENT: Delapre Abbey Wedding Tasters, Northampton, Sun 18 Oct

If wedding bells are on the horizon then you may be tearing your hair out right now, but fear not, as our favourite in-town wedding venue is rolling out the red carpet this weekend to give you some fabulous ideas for your big day. There are timed slots available for various group sizes, which must be booked in advance.

OPEN GARDENS: Boughton House, National Gardens Scheme, Sun 18 Oct

Head to Boughton Gardens this Sunday, for their final open day of the year. Otherwise known as the English Versailles, the sculptural landscaped gardens here are are truly spectacular and especially beautiful as the leaves are starting to show their autumn colours.

Did you know there are now more devices connected to the internet than there are people on the planet? This exhibition in Hut 12 investigates the stories behind the rapidly expanding ‘Internet of Things’ and invites visitors to think about the choices they make while connected to the internet.

EXHIBITION: MK Calling, MK Gallery, Milton Keynes, until 1 Nov

MK Gallery reopened its doors on 11 September and will be extending its pre-lockdown exhibition MK Calling. The show features work from over 130 contemporary artists, both established and up-and-coming, with one third of the pieces produced by local talent.
