ARTS AND CRAFTS: Mosaic gift workshop, Lamport Hall, St 26 Sept

In a creative slump and fancy getting stuck in to the ancient craft of mosaic making? Lamport Hall are hosting a full day masterclass this Saturday with refreshments provided. Taught by local artist, Andrew Wynne, you’ll learn how to plan your design, cut and create your finished piece to zhuzh up your gaff.

KIDS AND TEENS: Warts and All Theatre drama groups, Delapré Abbey

Warts and All Theatre are running “pay on your terms” performing arts groups for young actors age 4-21, plus Make, Play, Share sessions for under 4s, in the beautiful environs of Delapré Abbey. Aimed at helping young people to developing their performance skills and confidence, and to give an understanding of theatre skills and processes, there are groups for various age groups, so check out their website for full details.

GARDENING EVENT: How to grow fresh air, Bell Plantation, Towcester, Sat 26 Sept

EVENT: Ghost hunt, Abington Park Museum, Sat 26 Sept

Get utterly spooked on this haunted tour of the former Abington Manor (now Abington Park Museum), dating back 500 years and once lived in by Shakespeare’s granddaughter and at once point used as an asylum, there are plenty of ghostly goings on to scare you witless.

It’s the last open day of the season for Holdenby House on Sunday and the stunning Grade I listed gardens and working kitchen gardens, as well as the falconry centre and tea rooms are all open to visitors, so enjoy the last rays of summer sun in splendour.
