COMEDY: The Comedy Club Special, The Picturedrome, Northampton, Thursday 4th April, 7:30pm -11:30pm.

Head down The Picturedrome for a barrel of laughs at their Comedy Club Special, with acts including Kate Lucas, Scott Bennett, Will Duggan and headliner Dane Baptiste who has appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC), Tonight at the Palladium (ITV) and 8 out of Ten Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4). Tickets are £16.50 and can be brought online through their ticket site.

MUSIC: Toyah: Acoustic, Up Close and Personal. Saturday 6th April. Roadmender, Northampton.

Iconic pop icon, TV presenter and stage/screen actress Toyah is hosting an intimate up close and personal show at The Roadmender. Enjoy a unique chance to get close to Toyah where music and stories take centre stage. As well playing her well-loved hits and classic songs, Toyah will be talking about unforgettable stories and memories from her thirty-five year career. Tickets are £24.95 and can be brought online.

DANCE: Salsa Estrellas, Tuesday 2cnd April, 7:30pm – 11:00pm.

Fancy doing something a little different this Tuesday? Spend the evening learning the skills of salsa dancing by The Salsa Estellas. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner or an expert, this will be a class fit for you! Bring out the salsa fire in you and soak up the Latin vibes! 7:30pm – 8:20pm £7, beginners only. 8:30pm – 9:30pm £7, Improvers/Intermediate/Advanced. Find out more information here.

FILM: The Greatest Showman Sing-A-Long, Derngate, Saturday 6th April.

One for the kids, but after the success of The Greatest Showman, this might even be your guilty pleasure? Sing-a-long to the iconic songs from the musical with their very own host to teach you unique moves. Oh, and fancy dress is strongly recommended. Tickets from £17. 

FAMILY: Coton Manor Garden.

The last week of April is the start of the beautiful time where Coton Manor Garden’s turns full bloom. Take a relaxing day out visiting The Bluebell Wood, amongst seeing the beauty of other magical flowers at The Water Garden. April and May are often their busiest periods due to how beautiful it is when the different areas come to life. EVENT: The Big Lunch, Saturday 6th April, Market Square, Northampton.

Saturday 6th April from 12-4pm, The Big Lunch and Lewis Foundation are teaming up to invite residents across the city to take part in a celebration in Market Square in Northampton to shine a light on community connection and to inspire even more people to hold a Big Lunch on 1&2 June. The Market Square Big Lunch will be held in partnership The Lewis Foundation, a Northampton based charity which provides free gift packs to adults receiving cancer treatment in hospital. The Big Lunch is an idea from the Eden Project made possible by the National Lottery, designed to inspire people to take a small step that can make a big difference.  MUSIC: Bands in the Park, Abington Park, Northampton

Bands in the Park is back, starting 7th April with Moulton 88 Brass Band. Visit every Sunday from 2pm – 5pm to listen to a new incredible band every weekend in the beautiful surroundings of Abington Park. Relax with a coffee and cake at Abington Park Cafe whilst soaking up the sun and listening to bands including Daventry Brass Band and Brackley and Distric Band. Easter Shoe Trail, Northampton.

Fancy an Easter hug hunt with a twist? Seeing as Northampton has a long shoe history and heritage, what best way to promote this by a shoe-style treasure hunt?
