Tickets for this year’s Oundle International Festival will go on sale on Thursday 1st March; the ever popular Festival returns for its 34th year with a programme so broad in appeal that there is something for everyone to enjoy. The festival is from 4th-14th July and has so much to offer for all the family, with an open-air production of David Walliams’ ‘The Midnight Gang’ or enjoy jazz and swing music from the ’20s and ’30s with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra. Rich Hall’s Hoedown, Castle Theatre, Wellingborough, 8pm, Fri 2 Mar

Following a hugely successful autumn 2017 tour, Rich Hall and his Hoedown band continue their second leg of touring their Hoedown show. Hall’s precision dismantling of the tenuous relationship between America and the UK is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever. This Hoedown tour begins as a withering dissection of Trump’s America and all of its twists and turns, but ends up in a celebration of Americana. 25 Year Portrait Photography Retrospective by Donald Maclellan, The Hestletine Gallery, Wed 7 – Sun 25 Mar

One of the country’s most eminent portrait photographers shares a one-off glimpse into the best of his portraits of the famous and influential – over 40 images ranging from Sir Ian McKellen to Stephen Fry and a range of politicians and leaders of social reform. 2018 TOYO Tires MSA British Rallycross Championship, Towcaster, Sat 17 Mar

The opening round of the 2018 Toyo Tires MSA British Rallycross Championship will be the first ever rallycross event held at Silverstone, raising the curtain on a brand new season of rallycross!

The event will be headlined by 600bhp, four-wheel drive rallycross Supercars where drivers will race in short, sharp four-lap qualifying races to determine their starting positions for the six-lap semi-finals and finals later in the day.

Two other MSA Championships feature in “British RX”, the MSA Supernational Rallycross Championship; an eclectic range of two-wheel drive cars, and the MSA Junior Rallycross Championship for 14–17 year-olds. It’s going to be thrilling start to the 2018 season!

This Spring, musical aficionados can go on a journey down memory lane with award winning singer Robert Habermann, as he sings the songs and tells the story of the magical MGM musicals. From humble beginnings at the start of the talkies in 1929, to their unique celebration in the 1974 compilation film ‘That’s Entertainment’, Robert revisits them all live at Castle Theatre. ‘More Stars Than in The Heavens’ contains over forty of MGM’s iconic songs including: Over The Rainbow, The Trolley Song, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Show Business, Stranger in Paradise, Just In Time, Hi Lili Hi Lo, That’s Entertainment and many more. The highly popular, young English artist Aaminah Snowdon will be visiting The Rose Gallery. Aaminah Snowdon is a British contemporary artist, born in 1990, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. Her work exclusively depicts British wildlife, farm animals and pets in a unique and original style with a hint of humour. Admire her signature style of bold strokes and vibrant colours as this self-taught artist showcases her best work.
