Catch up with some of the biggest contenders of this year’s award season at Errol Flynn Filmhouse. A huge selection of films are available including ‘Shape of Water’, ‘I,Tonya’ and ‘Lady Bird’ so there’s something for everyone. If you fancy a trip with this kids, then ‘The Greatest Showman Sing-a-long’ is the one for you; belt out the dazzling show tunes from the box office hit. Oundle International Festival Tickets, Oundle, from Thurs 1 Mar

Tickets for this year’s Oundle International Festival will go on sale on Thursday 1st March; the ever popular Festival returns for its 34th year with a programme so broad in appeal that there is something for everyone to enjoy. The festival is from 4th-14th July and has so much to offer for all the family, with an open-air production of David Walliams’ ‘The Midnight Gang’ or enjoy jazz and swing music from the ’20s and ’30s with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra. 25 Year Portrait Photography Retrospective by Donald Maclellan, The Hestletine Gallery,  Wed 7 – Sun 25 Mar

One of the country’s most eminent portrait photographers shares a one-off glimpse into the best of his portraits of the famous and influential – over 40 images ranging from Sir Ian McKellen to Stephen Fry and a range of politicians and leaders of social reform. Do come along and meet Donald over a glass of wine! All free, including plenty of parking.

Aaminah Snowdon, The Rose Gallery, Northampton, 11am-3pm, Sat 24 Mar

The highly popular, young English artist Aaminah Snowdon will be visiting The Rose Gallery. Aaminah Snowdon is a British contemporary artist, born in 1990, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. Her work exclusively depicts British wildlife, farm animals and pets in a unique and original style with a hint of humour. Admire her signature style of bold strokes and vibrant colours as this self-taught artist showcases her best work. The event is free to attend and anyone interested in Aaminah’s work and in meeting Aaminah, is welcome. You can book tickets via Eventbrite.
