THEATRE: Band of Gold, Milton Keynes Theatre, Mon 9  – Sat 14 Mar

Band of Gold

Who remembers Kay Mellor’s groundbreaking crime drama on TV in the 90s? Well, following on from the phenomenal success of Fat Friends The Musical, here’s the stage version of Band of Gold. Gaynor Faye leads a stellar cast.

THEATRE: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Royal and Derngate, Tue 10 – Sat 14 Mar

Special guest star, Shane Richie joins the cast of smash hit West End musical as it come to N-Town. A Sheffield boy who doesn’t fit in finally overcomes his bullies and steps into the spotlight.

COMEDY: Ed Byrne: If I’m Honest, Core Theatre, Corby, Tue 10 Mar

Self-deprecating humour from the floppy fringed Irishman. Does he posses any positive qualities to bestow on his children? Decide for yourself.

KIDS: The Wizard of Oz, The Castle Theatre, Wellingborough, Tue 10 – Sun 15 Mar

Think you’ve seen the last of the gales this year? Think again. Wellingborough Musical Theatre Society present the much loved family classic about a girl swept away in a tornado who finds a herself in a magical world.

THEATRE: Friends! The Musical Parody, The Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering, Tue 10 Mar

So no one told you life was gonna be this way? Don’t worry, you were on a break. This hilarious spin on the hapless characters from 90s sitcom Friends will set you right.

COMEDY: Lou Sanders: Say Hello To Your New Step-Mummy, The Castle Theatre, Wellingborough, Fri 13 Mar

Oversharing on spirituality, mental health, pervs and relationships, Lou Sanders is never one to shy away from controversy. Watch out – she’ll have you popping your stitches.

Northampton’s popular foodie pop-up returns earlier than ever this year, with an opening night knees up and loads of foodie treats including burgers, toasties, tacos, dumplings, waffles, barista coffees, craft beer and vegan wine.

EVENT: Witchcraft and Wizardry, Northampton, Sat 14 Mar

Love a bit of cosplay? Grab your wand and your magic-loving mates, this enchanted outdoor adventure experience will pit teams of wizards against each other as they compete to defeat dark-magic and save the realm. Can your team unravel the mystery in time?

Re-live your youth (err, I’m still in mine, thanks) with this singalong, interactive Take That tribute night pumping out all the classic hits.

WORKSHOP: Vivienne Westwood draped shirt, Burns Street Studios, Northampton, Sat 14 Mar

Fancy embracing your inner punk fashionista? Sewing needn’t be twee and this crafty workshop will teach you how to make Dame Viv’s iconic draped shirt, plus lunch is included.
