5 Reasons to get fit with Lewis PT
Mince pies and mulled wine stretching the jeans a little? Read on my friend, Mark Lewis can help sort that post Xmas bulge
If the thought of being red-faced, out of breath and sweaty in front of a whole group of strangers absolutely horrifies you but you really want to get into shape then there is an answer. Mark Lewis has clients, that before working with him, had never exercised before. I mean, like never ever! He also has clients who use him to specifically train for intense events like Tough Mudder, so he’s used to the variety in levels of fitness out there. He’s a very affable chap, who has a LOT of energy, and he’ll come and have a chat with you to tailor a one-to-one programme for your individual needs (I asked if cheese and wine was a doable programme, apparently not). Mark visited Muddy Mansions not long ago (yup, that’s my shed), but it was Muddy Staffer Carla Lacey who signed up for the session. Have a gander below for her take on the afternoon.
I met with Mark for an outdoor circuits session…in the middle of November…am I insane?! Probably, but it didn’t take long for Mark to help me get warmed up and forget about the cold weather though. There were high and low intensity options for each of the activities, and whilst he was there to encourage me, he could also see if I needed to change the activity slightly. This is the great thing about Mark and Lewis Personal Training, he really does cater for everyone and every fitness goal you’d like to achieve. It doesn’t have to be outdoor PT either, he can come to your home or work or anywhere there’s enough space (probably not the pub though).
You can have one-to one sessions, train as a couple if you’re shaping up for a wedding, or just want that beach fit body together or even as a small group or family, and it doesn’t matter if the people in the group are at different abilities because he’ll adjust things accordingly.
Never Give Up
Mark Lewis doesn’t believe in failure, if you don’t tick that goal off the list he doesn’t see it as you’ve failed but that you just need to re-adjust the programme. He’s only failed if you give up on achieving your goals, not if it takes a bit longer!
By far the best thing about Mark Lewis is that he is just a genuinely nice guy, you don’t feel like he’s putting you through your paces because it’s like he’s your mate, maybe a little bit meaner! I think I’d be reluctant to cancel a session because I wouldn’t want to upset him, but I’m told that one of his clients employs him because he knows he’ll kick his butt into shape, so he can obviously tap in to what motivates each individual.
If you do prefer a more sociable training environment then Mark does run a number of group classes across Kingsthorpe, Moulton and Upton as well, so you really have no excuse (these include Kettlercise, Bootcamp and running groups).
The Bootcamp and Running sessions are outdoor affairs, where the Kettlercise and GRIT session are held in halls across Northampton and also at Market Harborough Leisure centre.
So if you’ve indulged in one too many mince pies over Christmas and would like to find out a bit more about classes or to have a chat about personal training, visit Mark’s website or give him a call on 07867546573 and say ‘hi’ from Muddy!
